Three Pumpkins

We took our first day trip here in St. Louis. It was a wonderful adventure. It was amazing how quickly we left the city behind and found ourselves in the country. We ferried across the Missouri River and landed in Grafton, Illinois where the Missouri, Mississippi, and Illinois River converge. Along the water, we visited the Rendezvous. It is a festival celebrating the fur trade that took place there 200 years ago. Next we headed to a local orchard for some intense pumpkin hunting. St. Louis is starting to feel more like home.

Rising Stars

We promised (OK bribed) the kids we would pursue some special interests when we moved to St. Louis.
Ballerina

Winter is taking ballet. It is so fun. The class is taught by two seminary students, Mrs. Kate and Miss Rebecca. Winter's favorite exercises are spreading the pizza dough and melting ice cream cone. This all takes place at our beloved log cabin just feet from our own door.

Ninja

Asher is taking TaekwonDo. He wears his dobok so well. His favorite moves are kicking and punching. He is certainly an attentive student. The class is offered at our local YMCA.

Dino?

Is this Asher's Dino? Yes, it is a real picture. And yes, that is the Nottingham car lot. But no, Dino is safe with us here in St Louis.

Bathing Beauties

Yes, those are carrots coming out of Violet's nose.

Cheerios

Could there be a better snack than cheerios? Violet doesn't think so, but she has to admit it is also her only snack.

Sharing Space

We have three bedrooms in our apartment. Mom and dad share one room. We have a sleep room with bunk beds, a crib, two chest of drawers, and three kids. We use the other room as a toy and school room. It works most of the time. These pictures are of a fort Asher and Winter built in the bottom bunk.

TEEFERS

Violet now has three of the of the sweetest little teeth.
Asher lost his first tooth. You can't tell because his permanent tooth was practically all the way in before the baby tooth "fell" out.
